I've read that the film The Ten Commandments was showing in US theatres for a continuos six months duration. These days, if a hit movie is in the theatres for 2 weeks its quite a feat already and considered a box office hit. But six months? And a religious film at that? But that was during the 50s when people still had their moral and ethical values intact; when marriage was still seen as a covenant and child bearing a duty than a liability. It's sad how things have changed for the worst I should say. And entertainmewnt can be our guage for society's state of morality.
