The prestigious New York Pro has a new home in White Plains and a deep and talented line-up in each and every one of the seven different categories taking the stage on Saturday. But for the purposes of this article, the men's open bodybuilding will be the focus.

Starting off with the open, there are a number of hometown favorites to choose from and Juan "Diesel" Morel is certainly one of them. He has been competing quite a bit and logging in the frequent flyer miles, but the New Rochelle native has not been able to find himself in the winner's circle quite yet.

Morel has competed in all three Arnold Classic shows, placing third in South Africa, second in Brazil and fifth in Columbus, Ohio. He also took third at the New Zealand Pro. Olympia qualification posts notwithstanding, he surely wants to punch his ticket for Las Vegas with a victory here, something he has tasted before.

Morel's buddy and fellow New Yorker Jon De La Rosa will also be donning the posing trunks at the Westchester County Center and this will be his first time in 2017 doing so.

Akim Williams is from New Jersey and has put on some impressive mass to his already-large frame. It will be interesting to see the finished product here.

Another name of interest is Sergio OLiva, Jr., who will be making his professional debut in the IFBB. The offspring of "The Myth" has some huge shoes to fill, with his late father being a two-time Mr. Olympia and the possessor of (arguably) the greatest physique of all time.
