There's a growing concern on the health risks of consuming salt from the sea. It seems that the alarming plastic pollution in our seas is contaminating our salt with micro plastics and micro fibers that is quickly becoming a major health risk.

What is your take on this?

It does seem that you hear of contaminated seafood a lot these days from ocean pollution or overfishing, but you don't hear much about sea salt and environmental changes affecting salt. To think you are adding some flavor or seasoning to your food, but unknowingly you are crunching on pollutant particles as well. They say though that the concentration of microplastics in seafood and sea salt , are so low that is does not present a health risk.
