WBC light flyweight title fight – Shiro vs Melindo

Filipino Milan Melindo failed in his bid to regain the light flyweight belt when he was stopped by Japanese champion Ken Shiro in the 7th round. Melindo suffered serious cuts that caused the stoppage. It was the 4th defense of the undefeated Shiro whose record is now 14 wins with 8 KOs while Melindo has 37 wins with 4 losses. The fight was held in Yokohama Arena in Japan.

It was a mismatch IMHO. If you smell Melindo's face, I bet it smells like a leather glove as his face caught all Shiro's punches.
