Eddie Alvarez, called the most violent man in the octagon, had signed up with One Championship. Alvarez is the former UFC lightweight champion who was dethroned by Conor McGregor in a brutal match that ended after 2 rounds. He had defeated previously unbeaten Justin Gaethje but lost to Dustin Porier in his last fight in the UFC. It is fortunate that Martin Nguyen had vacated the lightweight division due to an injury so maybe Alvarez will be fighting for a championship title for his first bout in the new league.
