ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL PRESENTS RECORD 80 SPORTS AND EVENTS
COLUMBUS, Ohio (August 20, 2018) – The 2019 Arnold Sports Festival and the world-renowned Arnold Classic bodybuilding championships, already the world’s largest multi-sport festival, will grow even larger in 2019 when the four-day health and fitness celebration presents a record 80 sports and events February 28-March 3, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Arnold Sports Festival will attract an estimated 200,000 sports and fitness fans to watch more than 22,000 athletes compete in 80 sports and events, including 16 Olympic events, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, the Ohio Expo Center and various other Central Ohio venues.

The Arnold Classic and related IFBB Pro League events and the Arnold Amateur NPC Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure, Bikini & Physique Championships will be held in Battelle Grand and on the Arnold Fitness EXPO Stage at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

An expanded Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO will be held March 2-3 at the Ohio Expo Center. Archery, Baton Twirling, Cheerleading, Futsal, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Pickleball, Table Tennis and XPC Powerlifting/POWER X are among the events at the Ohio Expo Center.

The Arnold Fitness EXPO, March 1-3, 2019 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, features more than 1,000 booths of the latest in sports equipment, apparel and nutrition and four stages that host competitions and entertainment.

New in 2019: Foosball, Futsal and the Viking Dash Trail Runs.

The 16 Olympic sports featured at the Arnold Sports Festival include archery, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, handball, judo, karate, rowing, a 5K run, soccer, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon and weightlifting.

Midway Labs USA is the presenting sponsor of the 2019 Arnold Sports Festival.

2019 Arnold Sports Festival
Dates: February 28-March 3, 2019

Locations: Most events are held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (400 N. High St.) and Ohio Expo Center (717 E. 17th Ave.).

Hours: Events begin Thursday 10 a.m. and conclude Sunday 6 p.m. Visit www.arnoldsportsfestival.com for a complete schedule.

Arnold Fitness EXPO hours: Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO hours: Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: A daily EXPO ticket ($20 each in advance or $25 at door; children 14 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult) includes admission to most events, the Arnold Fitness EXPO and the Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO. A new Fast-Pass Ticket ($30 in advance only) provides one-hour early access to the Arnold Fitness EXPO (8:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday)

Attendees can purchase a $20 ticket at the door at all events at the Ohio Expo Center that is good for one-day’s admission at the Ohio Expo Center only. (The $20 ticket can be upgraded for $5 for access to the Arnold Fitness EXPO and other events at the Greater Columbus Convention Center).

Professional and amateur bodybuilding events; IFBB Meet & Greet at the Hilton Columbus Downtown; Amateur MMA Festival and Arnold Party With The Pros at EXPRESS LIVE!; Arnold Pro Boxing at the Hollywood Casino; and PCS Pole Fitness Championships and the Arnold Sunday Showcase at the Greater Columbus Convention Center require a separate ticket.

Arnold VIP Ticket Packages are available for $350 and $600 and include exclusive benefits and premium seating to many events.

DEFENDING CHAMPION WILLIAM BONAC, FORMER CHAMPS CEDRIC MCMILLAN, VICTOR MARTINEZ HIGHLIGHT 2019 ARNOLD CLASSIC FIELD
William "The Conqueror" Bonac, who won the 2018 Arnold Classic for the biggest victory of his professional career, and two former Arnold Classic champions will do battle as the prestigious professional men's bodybiulding competition celebrates its 31st year in 2019.

Bonac, 2017 winner Cedric McMillan and 2007 champion Victor Martinez lead a field of 12 professional bodybuilders who will take the stage in Columbus, Ohio for the 31st Annual Arnold Classic on March 2, 2019. Brandon Curry, who won Arnold Classic South America in 2013 and Arnold Classic Australia in 2017, and Roelly Winklaar, 2018 Arnold Classic Australia winner, will also contend for the title.

Whitney Jones, who overcame serious neck and knee injuries to win the Fitness International for the first time in 2018, is back to defend her title. She will be challenged by Kate Errington, second in Columbus in 2018; Fitness Olympia runner-up Ryall Graber; Myriam Capes, third at the Fitness O in 2018.

A new champion will be crowned in Figure International as 2018 champion Candice Lewis-Carter has retired. Cydney Gillon, the two-time Figure Olympia champion who finished second in Columbus in 2017 and 2018, will be looking for her first Figure International crown. Nadia Wyatt, third at the Olympia in 2018, Bojana Vasilijevic and Jessica Reyes Padilla are also among the field of 14 contenders.

There will also be a new champ in Bikini International as 2017 and 2018 winner Angelica Teixeira will not compete. Challengers for the title include 2018 runner-up Janet Layug, two-time Bikini International champion Ashley Kaltwasser and Lauralie Chapados, fresh off a second-place finish at the Bikini Olympia and four IFBB Pro League wins in 2018.

Three-time defending Arnold Classic Pro Wheelchair champion Harold "King Kong" Kelley will try to make it four in a row.

Arnold Classic Physique, Arnold Men’s Physique and Women’s Physique International will feature competitions open to any IFBB Pro League athlete who finished in the top 5 in a pro contest in the past two years.

The Arnold Classic Physique, Fitness International, Figure International and Women’s Physique International will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019; while the Arnold Classic, Arnold Men’s Physique and Bikini International will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 with prejudging and finals at Battelle Grand. Arnold Classic Pro Wheelchair will be held on Saturday, March 2 at Battelle Grand.

I'm rooting for Brandon Curry to win it, even if "realistically" talking, conditioning, legs and all that I think Bonac will win again.
