The vacant IBO inter-continental cruiserweight title will be contested by Joel Tambwe Djeko and Ricardo Snijders on May 4 at the territory of Djeko in at Forest National in Brussels, Belgium. Djeko has a fight record of 15-2-1 while Snijders from the Netherlands is undefeated with 17 wins. Both fighters are lowly rated in the world rankings at 32nd and 33rd respectively.

Joel Tambwe Djeko was successful in claiming the IBO inter-continental cruiserweight belt when he defeated Dutch Ricardo Snijders by unanimous decision – 117-110, 1117-110, 116-111. Djeko used his reach advantage in the offense that put Snijders off balanced in his disposition. It is the 16th win of Djeko and although he is wishing for a real title fight, he did not mention the possibility because fights are made by promoters and not by boxers.
