World's Strongest Man announces venues for Bradenton competition!

42nd annual event is scheduled June 13-16 with all events free
After announcing it will come to Bradenton for the first time this year, World's Strongest Man has unveiled the settings for its feats of strength.
The 42nd annual strongman event will take place June 13-16, featuring three days of qualifiers and a one-day final, with all events free. The 25 athletes competing this year include Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, last year's World's Strongest Man champion who is also known for his role as Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on HBO's "Game of Thrones."
The qualifiers will take place June 13 on downtown Bradenton's Old Main Street, June 14 on Coquina Beach and June 15 on Manatee Public Beach, each starting at 9 a.m. The final round on June 16 will also take place on Manatee Public Beach, starting at 8 a.m., with times subject to change.
There will be five events in both the qualifying and final rounds, including athletes pulling monster trucks weighing more than 30,000 pounds, dead-lifting more than 650 pounds and tossing 150-pound kettle bells.
