For the quarterfinals of the One FC super series, former UFC hopeful Sage Northcutt was favored over Cosmo Alexandre not only because of age (Alexandre is 37 while Northcutt is 23) but because of the speed of Northcutt who has a record of 15-0 as a kickboxer. But right in the first round, Alexandre released a haymaker that felled Northcutt which caused the referee to declare a stoppage. The knockout was unexpected and Northcutt has to start from scratch again in his MMA career. Making it worse for the young MMA fighter, he suffered 8 fractures in the face caused by that knockdown.
