It’s a 12th round TKO for unknown Mexican boxer Elwin Soto who now owns the WBO junior flyweight title. Acosta suffered a knockdown in the 3rd round but was able to rebound in the succeeding rounds that he was winning in the scorecards before the fight ended. The referee stopped the fight when Soto hit Acosta with a haymaker but there was no substantial follow up that’s why the crowd was surprised when the referee stopped the fight for a TKO win for Soto. This is another controversy in boxing.
