It is another controversial ending in boxing when Julio Cesar Martinez was proclaimed WBC flyweight champion via a knockout win over Charlie Edwards. It was a clear knockdown in the 3rd round but as Edwards started to rise, he was hit by Martinez while his knee was still on the canvas. Mauricio Sulaiman of WBC quickly rebutted the decision of the referee in stopping the fight as TKO. The fight was officially ruled a no-contest.
