Franchon Crews-Dezurn will defend her WBC women’s supe middleweight title against Alejandra Jimenez on September 14 in Carson, California. The challenger is the heavyweight champion who drops down 2 divisions in an attempt to be a double champion. Crews-Dezurn has a short stint with a fight record of only 5 wins and 1 loss with 2 KOs while Jimenez sports a slate of 12-0-1 and 9 KOs.

The unanimous decision did not reflect the close fight but Crews-Dezurn won by scores of 97-93, 98-92, and 98-92 to retain her WBC women’s middleweight belt and earned the vacant WBO title too. Jimenez put up a good fight but it looked to the judges that her effort was not really sufficient.
