New Zealand’s champion Geovana Peres will defend here WBO women’s light heavyweight title against Claire Hafner of Canada on October 4 at Sky City in Auckland. Both with only 1 loss in their career, the champion has 7 wins while Hafner has only 4 wins to her credit.

Geovana Peres successfully defended her WBO light heavyweight title by beating Claire Hafner with a TKO in the 8th round. Peres didn’t take a calculated risk with a distant style of fighting in a wait-and-see attitude that somehow confused Hafnet. It is the first stoppage win for Peres
