The professional bodybuilder and powerlifter was allegedly caught distributing the injectable anabolic steroid testosterone enanthate.
Amy Kozle, a 46-year old IFBB professional bodybuilder and an APF/WPC professional powerlifter, was charged with a single count of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule III controlled substance (anabolic steroids). Kozle was arraigned in Livingston County Circuit Court on September 24, 2019.
Kozle is also the owner of Bulletproof Sportswear Incorporated. Bulletproof Sportswear is the exclusive vendor of NPC and IFBB branded jewelry charms according to the company’s Instagram page.

Amy Kozle became a professional in both bodybuilding and powerlifting in 2018.

In competitive powerlifting, Kozle achieved pro status in spectacular fashion at the 2019 APF Michigan State Meet in Grand Rapids on March 10-11, 2018. The American Powerlifting Federation (APF) is the national affiliate of the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC)
Kozle set multiple APF Open and Masters equipped records in the 132-pound weight class with the following lifts: squat (475 pounds), deadlift (446.5 pounds), bench press (253.5 pounds), and total (1174 pounds).
In competitive bodybuilding, Kozle earned her IFBB pro card at the 2018 NPC North American Championships in Pittsburgh on August 8, 2018. Kozle competed in the Women’s Physique Division (WPD) and placed third in the Masters Over 35 Class A category.
The National Physique Committee (NPC) is the only amateur bodybuilding organization in the United States that is officially recognized by the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB).
Kozle is represented by attorney Darrell Banks. The pro bodybuilder/powerlifter and small business owner was released from jail after posting a $7500 bond.
Kozle is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. If convicted, Kozle could face upto seven years in prison and/or up to a $10,000 fine.
