Convicted steroid dealer Mike Mosura has been linked to a steroid investigation involving the Shreveport Police Department.
Mike Mosura, a Louisiana businessman who owns multiple Anytime Fitness franchises, has been implicated as a steroid source for several Shreveport police officers by the local ABC affiliate KTBS.
KTBS reported that several Shreveport Police Department (SPD) officers has been disciplined and place on administrative leave as part of an ongoing investigation into steroid use by SPD officers.

Several Shreveport cops were disciplined for steroid use.

An SPD spokesperson refused to reveal how many officers were involved in the steroid scandal. The spokesperson also refused to reveal the identities of the cops in question. She referred reporters to the city attorney’s office for more information.

“We have several Shreveport police officers on leave — pending a criminal and administrative investigation,” according to the SPD spokesperson. “Due to this being an open investigation… We cannot release any details at this time. The request for the names of the officers should be sent to the city attorney’s office.”

Mosura admitted selling anabolic steroids to customers in the Shreveport-Bossier City area between October 2016 and May 2018. He obtained the steroids from a local underground laboratory (UGL) operated by his co-conspirators Brant Landry and Julie Landry.
While some of the steroids may have been purchased by Shreveport cops, Bossier City Police officers have not been implicated.
Mosura pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute anabolic steroids on August 8, 2019. Brant Landry, the alleged leader of the steroid distribution organization, pleaded guilty on August 13, 2019.
Mosura is scheduled to be sentenced on December 5, 2019. Mosura’s sentencing takes place the day after Landry’s sentencing. Both men could spend several years in prison for their crimes.
Julie Landry has yet to enter a plea.
