    American Media announces massive layoffs!

This is big news if you are a fan of magazines like Men's Journal.

    American Media:
“The strategic decision to merge Men’s Journal’s editorial operations with the passionate and talented staff of the Adventure Sports Network in Carlsbad, California, which American Media acquired a year ago, ensures the continued growth and success for Men’s Journal as well as ASN,”

Re: American Media announces massive layoffs!

AMI had purchased Men's Journal a few years ago and merged Men's Fitness into it (around the same time they merged FLEX into Muscle & Fitness). Now that Jake Wood has purchased M&F, M&F Hers and the Olympia, he announced that they are only publishing digital versions. Print is dead, folks, and I say that being a publisher of a print magazine. Hence the reasons why I focus on the digital version and do a short print run because I'm an old school thick-headed guinea.
