Re: Juiced Shreveport Cop Sent to Prison After Bail Revoked

Shreveport police sergeant Brian Skinner was accused of improper contact with witnesses in a federal steroid trafficking case.
Brian Skinner, a sergeant with the Shreveport Police Department, was already in big trouble after being charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute a controlled substances (anabolic steroids). He recently made matters much worse.
Skinner had previously posted a $25,000 bond in November 2019 in order to stay out of jail pending a trial. The trial is scheduled for May 11, 2020. Unfortunately, Skinner was not able to stay out of jail very long.

Shreveport Police Sergeant Skinner must stay in jail pending the outcome of his case.

Skinner allegedly violated the terms of his release by having improper contract with witnesses, potential witnesses and a co-defendant in the federal steroid trafficking case involving him. The contact was serious enough to prompt United States Magistrate Judge Mark Hornsby to revoke Skinnerís bond and send him directly to prison.
Skinner was arrested and incarcerated at the Bossier Medium Security Facility on February 25, 2020.
Skinner was one of several Shreveport Police officers and Bossier Parish Sheriff deputies linked to steroid trafficking investigation spearheaded by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The DEA-led investigation targeted a domestic underground laboratory (UGL) that run and operated by a Louisiana resident named Brant Landry.
Landry waived his Miranda rights and confessed to everything. He presumably spilled the beans about everything and everyone concerning his steroid manufacturing and distribution operation.
Numerous Shreveport Police officers and Bossier Parish Sheriff deputies were linked to Landryís steroid UGL. However, Sergeant Skinner and Deputy Jonathan Colgan were the only ones indicted and charged with crimes.
Skinner and Colgan were accused of either selling or facilitating the distribution of steroids to other police officers. The other officers merely purchased steroids for their own personal use.
