Many people say that Jay's best was either 2001 Mr Olympia or 2009 Mr O.
Some think that his Ironman 2003 was his best.

But Jay himself said in one of his vlogs (2019 I think before the Arnold Classic) that his best in his opinion, was this 2002 Arnold Classic look.
He kept a good offseason shape after the 2001 Olympia, and he also said that this was one of his most enjoyable preps ever.

He grew like a weed and did the least amount of cardio for this show.
If I'm not mistaken, his body weight on stage at this show was 272 pounds.
I'll try to find the video where he talks about this.

Jay at what I think was his best. His legs were at their biggest here as well, then from 2003 onwards his right quad always looked smaller.

This is the video I was thinking of in the first post where Jay talks about his 2002 Arnold Classic in detail.
Once again he mentions that his weight was 273lbs at this show, so I was off by 1lb lol.

Starts from 13:50

- his first Arnold Classic appearance
- his heaviest, fullest and best conditioning look, next to 2009 Mr O
- glutes and hamstrings way more detailed than the 2001 Mr Olympia
- quads were at their biggest
- 2 days on 1 day off training schedule
- trained twice a day
- minimal cardio, walking his dog in the morning
- managed to put 13lbs from the 2001 Mr O (6 months between the 2 shows)

One more video from the prejudging, with Chris Cormier and Dexter Jackson as well.

This is by far the best version of Jay, ever.
If he would have competed with this look at the 2002 Mr O, he would have destroyed Ronnie imo.
