Danish Nationals Powerlifting 2009
At 11 AM i took a check weigh in at the competition scale and it said 109.85 kg. After walking around a little bit and drinking some milk, i weighed in safely at 109.5 kg.

Squat
310 kg (683 lb) - Good lift 3-0
325 kg (716 lb) - Good lift 3-0
340 kg (749 lb) - No lift 1-2
I pushed the 749 lb up, but got redlighted on depth. On of the coaches wrapped me on the last lift and i got ironhard wraps on. I lacked the very last determination to squeeze it down the last centimeter, but judge for yourself on the videoclips.

Benchpress
240 kg (529 lb) - good lift 3-0
252.5 kg (556 lb) - good lift 3-0 (Danish record with 2.5 kg)
257.5 kg (567lb) - good lift 2-1 (Danish record with 7.5 kg)
Benchpress went awesome. I felt great with pecpower from hell and i got very good liftouts and my setup was good.

Deadlift
285 kg (628 lb) - good lift 3-0
300 kg (661lb) - good lift 3-0
305 kg (672 lb) - no lift 0-3 (lost grip)
I almost dropped the 661 on the floor, but got the down signal just in time. As it was a marginal lift i tryed with a slight personal best in last, but lost the grip. This is one focus area to spend time on for sure.

Total 882.5 kg (1944 lb) - 520 wilks points.

I am overly pleased with my performance at danish nationals. My conditioning was better than i could possibly hope for and i even got a few personal best in the bench. I am certainly back after the surgery in december.

I won all discipline medals and the on the total in the 242 lb class and i won the champion of champion title across all weight classes with the 520 wilks points.

A little more training in the bench and it really starts to look like something on the international level. One can start smelling the medals in the 580-600 lb range, so not too far to go.

Next big meet will be European Championsships in Finland in May..stay tuned.

Thanks Freako :) My deadlift is not very good looking at my competitors. I blame it on my short arms...as my training is - of cause - perfect :turborun: lol

Txs....could be even stronger of cause :headbang:

I had surgery in december. I got appendicidice from one day to the other, and had to recover with no training for 3 weeks. It took me some time to get back...

Ok, I misinterpreted it I see. I thought you needed surgery but you already had it. Appendicidice bleh always nasty and dangerous as well if you dont notice it quick.

I hear you on the short arms, there's definitely no gorilla in my ancestry. Great for benching though. :rofl3:
