Whey protein has been demonstrated time and again to be the best choice for promoting muscle development during exercise. However, many people are allergic to milk, which makes drinking whey unpleasant. Fortunately, egg protein has a similar leucine concentration and great digestion ratings, making it a potential alternative for whey protein. However, research on egg protein and muscle building is limited for a variety of reasons, particularly when compared to whey protein. As a result, while whey protein remains the best evidence-based choice, egg protein is more than likely a great second choice.
