I like to do this as a pre workout strategy plenty of pumps plenty of fluids circulating. Ad sugar and fiber powder to your protein mix. This in creases IGF1 in your system to deliver the nutrients.
So what you want to do for recovery is the same thing with casein
I mix my protein with a spoon with little amounts of water at a time due to kinetic energy from the blender. It's a theory that you can make yourself sick after years of daily consistent drink mixing with the blender.

Put your whey protein powder isolate in a glass add in little amounts of water and mix until it is a pudding like consistency
add in more water ad sugar till sweet
Add in like 1/2 tspn metamucil or benefiber
That should do it, and again for recovery use casein
