“See you in court,” was the statement of 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao directed to Bob Arum and his Top Rank Promotions regarding the failure of Pacquiao to collect the pay-per-view proceeds from his recent fight with Lucas Matthysse. The amount of $1.7 million is the crux. It was 70% of the $2 million earnings of the pay-per-view that was broadcast in ESPN.

I think this is the second time Manny Pacquiao has been duped by a promoter. If I can recall it correctly Manny Pacquiao was also duped of his purse by his first promoter when he was just gaining popularity.
