Missouri bill would require prescriptions for cold medicine

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A doctor's visit and a prescription would be needed for many cold medicines under a Missouri bill aimed at targeting methamphetamine production.

Supporters say the move would prevent criminals from buying up hundreds of pseudoephedrine-based pills, which can be converted into meth.

They argue that visiting multiple doctors and securing multiple prescriptions would scare away many of the meth producers.

People already are limited in the amount of pseudoephedrine they can buy and must sign a log book each time they buy the medicine.

Lawmakers authorized an electronic monitoring system last year but
did not fund it.

Critics of the prescription bill say it would increase waiting times and costs for patients who need only basic medical care.

Make oxygen illegal.
Drug dealers won't be able to breath and they will die.
Problem solved.

This is the same state that wanted to make it a law that people must show ID to buy baking soda.

Why? Because baking soda is used for the process of turning cocaine in to crack.

So, these geniuses figured they could stop crack dealers by limiting the sale of baking soda.

It's both sad and funny to watch these lawmakers scramble to "fix" the drug problem.

that has nothing to do with this thread nor the laws which Missouri are trying to pass.

I don't mind you posting videos, but I just don't see the connection between "Codex" and the drug laws in Missouri.

That is ridiculous.

What do you mean, ridiculous? You don't believe the trees want to kill you? You must not have seen the movie with Marky Mark in it. The Happening! :turborun:
