We’ve all grown up during the “no bread, no carbs” era — thanks to shows like Victoria’s Secret and America’s Next Top Model pushing carb-phobia into the mainstream. But the truth? Carbs aren’t the enemy.

The video “Carbs Are Not The Enemy” breaks down a common myth in dieting: that cutting carbs is the key to fat loss. While low-carb diets and ketosis can help some people, especially those with insulin resistance or diabetes, research shows both low-carb and low-fat diets can lead to fat lossas long as you're in a calorie deficit.

The takeaway? If you’re not in a calorie deficit, cutting carbs won’t do much except kill your mood.

Also, not all carbs are pizza and pasta. Fruits and vegetables are carbs too — and they’re loaded with nutrients while typically being low in calories. Those are the carbs to embrace.

Lastly, everyone’s body is different. What works for one person may not work for you. So take fitness advice with a grain of salt, experiment, and find what fits your lifestyle and goals.

Bottom line: Carbs don’t make you fat — eating more than you burn does. Focus on the deficit. Not the carb witch-hunt.
