my friend from college actually competes in these tournaments. Actually won the title a couple years ago in japan.

Stereotypical asian nerd but you have to watch this kid play street fighter in our college's arcade. Its nerdy as fuck but you cant help but be impressed by a master of his craft.

Not math really. I'm sure you're referring to the memorization of frame data, but once you hear the numbers and experience move priority in matches, you just kinda remember what to do and what not to do.

Mine too, but it wasnt even about him being american, it was cuz he was a faster version of ryu, with better special moves than ryu. The only thing ryu had going for him was better fireballs.

Blanka was used by cheap fucks who kept doing low kicks, cornering people and just use that sitting electric move that ends up taking half your life bar before you can get up properly and block. :bball:

but i also liked to play with guile (the army dude) and the dude with the mask (vegas or vagas or something) yeea that reminds me of being child what a great time..

yeah guile was badass. Remember his swagger? The way he moves was awesome, his entire upper body is stationary but his legs sort of swivel front and back.

Oh and with vega it was wicked how if you kick his ass hard enough you could break his claw. Don't recall anyone else losing a part of their costume if you beat them bad enough

Oh man, now im feeling all nostalgic about it too
