UFC Fight Night – Jared Cannonier vs Kelvin Gastelum on August 22

After a one weekend rest UFC is back again with the middleweight bout between Jared Cannonier and Kelvin Gastelum in UFC Apex in Las Vegas on August 22. Cannonier who is ranked #3 is slightly favored while the heavy striker Gastelum who is ranked #9 cannot be discounted for an upset.

Jared Cannonier proved his #3 ranking by evading the relentless attack of #9 rank Kelvin Gastelum. There was a knockdown in the 3rd round when Gastelum was hit by a straight punch. But Gastelum recovered at once and continued his attack. In the end, the judges favored Cannonier with a unanimous decision that may put him in the position for a title fight.
