I am stuck between two trucks. I really want a diesel but have no real use besides having a big truck like I used to have. So I am getting rid of my expedition and trying to figure out which of the two trucks I want.
This one thats a 1999 F-250 for $13k with the 7.3 diesel but with 130k miles. The miles and the year is the only thing that makes me shy away and well the rising fuel costs. However, diesels can run over 300k miles without a rebuild. Diesel here is almost $3.70 a gallon though.
The next truck is a 2004 F-150 fx4 with 80k miles for $13k. It would take gas which is cheaper and also would get the same MPG as the truck above, maybe better.
Any thoughts guys? I am stuck on this one. The F-250 is cheaper to mod when hooking up the engine and lifting it. The f-150 is more economical. I am about to graduate college and have a job already secure so money isn't that big of an issue but still there. Give me your thoughts.
