Mr. Olympia 2022 was held on December 16-17, 2022, at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It included over 11 activities over the weekend to round off the world's most renowned fitness expo.

Joe Weider's Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend has established itself as the bodybuilding equivalent of the Super Bowl. Athletes from all over the world descended on the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' to compete for the top place. Athletes must either win an IFBB Pro show or accumulate enough points to be invited to the event in order to qualify. It celebrates the top bodybuilders on the globe at the end of each bodybuilding season.

There was a lot of excitement surrounding one of the event's most competitive editions. Mamdouh 'Big Ramy' Elssbiay, the defending Mr. Olympia champion, entered the show as the favorite to prolong his reign and capture his third title. However, the Open level was brimming with talent, presenting Ramy with a difficult job. Given his massive physical mass, many assumed that out-conditioning him would be the only way to dethrone him.

Phil Heath, the legendary bodybuilder who reigned over the Open class for seven years, was in attendance and served as a commentator.
