Yes, natural steroids exist; they are quite similar to the steroids that the human body secretes, like the hormones, testosterone, cortisol and progesterone. The body produces these natural steroids to build muscles and other tissues in the body. However, natural steroids are compounds that can be found in external natural substances like plants and herbs.

According to research, these natural steroids are capable of performing the same functions as anabolic steroids in the body. Natural steroids are compounds that build and repair muscles, enhance performance, and increase the secretion of testosterone.

Natural steroids can also be regarded as legal steroids and they're available on the market. It's being sold as a mixture of ingredients.

  • DAA​

D-AA meaning D-aspartic acid contributes to the production and secretion of testosterone in the body. More research needs to be made on how it increases testosterone production in humans.
  • Vitamin D​

Vitamin D naturally is good for the bone. Intake of vitamin F increases strength in the bone. However, recent studies reveal that vitamin D also contributes to muscle growth and strength. And there's a relationship between vitamin D deficiency and lack of muscle strength and mass. However, this connection still needs to be further studied to arrive at a healthy conclusion.

  • Zinc​

Zinc according to some research has shown that it contributes to muscle growth and repairs. Researchers have only concentrated on how zinc contributes to muscle regulation. The drug may also be connected to other age-related muscle loss called sarcopenia. A recent review shows that the relationship between zinc intake and physical performance is only possible in an observational study and not experimentally.

With this report, more tests need to be carried out on how zinc intake can contribute to muscle growth and enhance performance.
  • Magnesium​

Magnesium contributes to muscle growth and increases performance during exercise by reacting to the enzymes in the body. According to research, magnesium can help maintain muscle integrity during increased intensity training.

A recent study has shown that if a man takes 400mg of magnesium for 3 weeks every day, it helps to repair the muscle tissue.
  • DHEA​


Dehydroepiandrosterone is a precursor molecule drug that the body changes into the hormones testosterone and estradiol. The causes of the increase in protein production will consequently increase muscle growth and strength.
  • Ginseng​

According to some research, ginseng can help prevent some health issues like muscle loss, diabetes and aging. According to the FDA, several products flying about in the markets as bodybuilding supplements are harmful to the body and are considered toxic. Some companies sell these products as dietary supplements as a way of boycotting the FDA warnings about the drugs.

The FDA speculates that several harmful compounds and other substances are hidden in some bodybuilding supplements or they're sold as bodybuilding supplements. These harmful substances will have negative impacts and side effects on their users.

They could also clash with the intake of other supplements and cause negative reactions.

Sometime in 2013, the FDA placed a warning on all users of bodybuilding supplements to avoid drugs that contain the stimulant dimethylamylamine. According to the FDA, this stimulant can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure and this could trigger cardiovascular problems.

A couple of products are on the market now claiming to consist of natural steroids that work just like the human steroids( testosterone) in the body. However, this speculation is fake as there is only one drug made of natural steroids that are approved for use on humans and that's creatine. Apart from creatine, no other product is allowed to be used on humans other than for curing certain problems like menopause symptoms.

The FDA does not approve of other dietary supplements safe for creatine because there is a high tendency that they contain harmful and unlawful substances. If a user of any supplement, you should seek professional assistance if you start to notice any of this:

  • nausea
  • fatigue
  • weakness
  • fever
  • abdominal pain or chest pain
  • shortness of breath
  • brown or discoloured urine

Of course, there are natural steroids, but I think that it makes no sense to buy steroids because you can buy supplements that are very effective and, most importantly, safe for your health. When I started in the gym, I spent a lot of time looking for good supplements.
