Eddie Hall has come a long way since being the first person to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds) at the World Deadlift Championships in 2016. He won the 2017 World's Strongest Man (WSM) contest, then retired from competitive strongman to fight 2018 WSM champion Hafthor Björnsson — Björnsson won their brawl by unanimous decision — and then briefly returned to strongman to lead Team UK to a win over Team USA at the 2022 World's Strongest Nation (WSN).
Hall's eyes are set on another adventure in his strong sports career as the new year begins: his bodybuilding debut in the fourth quarter of 2024. On January 8, 2023, the former WSM champion turned to his YouTube account to break the news and walk his 2.27 million viewers through the first steps of his bodybuilding career.
