You can develop your character different ways. I'm sure the first time you'll have a very combat based character to make it easier for you to start off with but then you will want to try something different. A talker, thief, sniper or something else, my fave is to finish the game using only hand to hand combat.

k im playing fallout 1
had to run it in compatibility mode in vista as Windows 95/98.
but i have no clue how to switch to my weapons
or anything, im just doing hand to hand combat now..

i'm a huge fan of the series, played all games hundreds of times...but still it's a shame interpaly sold out and bethsoft made oblivion with guns and mutants. I'll give it a spin for sure just for old time's sake...but i won't be the same :(
