Jerry Ward, a well-known bodybuilder and NPC/IFBB judge, died at the age of 46. Ward died yesterday night on Friday, July 22, 2022, according to bodybuilding promoter Gary Udit. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
Ward has been open about his enthusiasm for bodybuilding and will be recognized for his unrivaled understanding of the sport for years to come. Erin Merritt, the bodybuilder's adored wife, survives him. He recently commented on Udit's 2022 NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters National in Pittsburgh, PA. Ward even posted a video on his YouTube page only hours before his death.
Ward was whining to a buddy that he feared he had injured a left rib, according to Rx Muscle's Dave Palumbo. Palumbo said that the alleged injury occurred while moving baggage to where he was staying for the week as part of his recent livestream obligations.
Udit posted on Instagram, "Sadly, we lost a good buddy today with the loss of Jerry Ward." Jerry died unexpectedly yesterday night. He was in Pittsburgh, commentating on the NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Nationals Live Stream. Jerry was a great competitor, judge, expediter, head judge, and PPV commentator in the NPC and IFBB PRO LEAGUE throughout the years. His understanding of the Bodybuilding sport was unrivaled.
