Rob, I am currently masturbating over your specs. I can literally hear Far Cry 2 and Crysis tremble.

Nice set up.

How do you like the new taskbar?

question:
Is there a way to pin more than 7 apps to the taskbar?

I dont know..its more organized then in Vista, but I dont like the look of it that much. That might be because I use the OS X leopard dock in XP and likes that much.

About the apps in the taskbar..I haven't had that many categories in the taskbar yet so I dont know

K, im running Windows 7, upgraded from Vista.... i was loving the way it was at first, where i'd scroll over an item on the taskbar, and the different boxes would automatically pop up with a preview (ie, different msn convo boxes)...

now, it doesnt happen anymore, and i actually have to click on the different ones..... any ideas how i can restore it to its original settings?

Hmm...thats strange...I dont recall if there was a "Systemrestore" in accessories/systemtools....but if there is, try that..(it takes controlpoints quite often when new stuff happen and sometims just because :borat:)

New Windows 7 build torrent leaked

"More visual changes have been made in the new build, including more new wallpapers, several new user account icons and a new logon/shutdown background. Send feedback links have been completely removed and the version watermark on the desktop now reads "Evaluation copy" instead of "For testing purposes only." The taskbar will now resize when switching to small icons, and the recent UAC problem has been addressed.

One other important note is that the expiration date of build 7057 is March 2, 2010 - nearly seven months after the official beta expires."

Other additional changes:

"However, most of the updates aren't very obvious. Subtle changes appear here and there, for example:

* the glow on your taskbar button staying put when you mouse onto a taskbar thumbnail
* the increased number of items you can pin to your taskbar
* the start orb is slightly clearer and its glow is brighter
* Send Feedback links no longer appear in window title bars
* a slightly cleaned up Control Panel

One small but very welcome addition is that your Downloads folder can now be added to your panel via start menu customization. Prior to making this change, getting the folder on your list was far too cumbersome and required editing the registry."

Bump... I'm on 7077 now, just loving it. Best OS ever.

edit: using it with NOD 32 for an antivirus, speed is amazing.

You can either do an upgrade, or a clean install.

I recommend the clean install, it's much faster (took me about 45 mins max), and likely better to ensure everything is working properly.

But the good thing is, all your old documents and files are in a folder in the c: drive called "windows.old" .... so you can just copy your documents from that folder to wherever you want... and then delete windows.old.

It's well worth doing, though the actual release candidate is probably coming very soon....
