Former world champion Miguel Cotto will be facing Japanese Yoshihiro Kamegai for the vacant WBO junior middleweight crown in August of 2017. It can be recalled that Cotto, who has held the belt in 4 divisions, had fought Manny Pacquaio and lost by TKO in the 12[SUP]th[/SUP] round. He also lost to Floyd Mayweather on a unanimous decision. Both fighters are not young – Kamegai is 34 with a record of 27-3-2 while Cotto is at 38 with a fight record of 40-5. My money goes to Cotto.
