Well, you need to see the big picture. They made this high profile bust to send a message, obviously. Steroids are in most cases illegally smuggled to European countries and when you buy steroids you usually support organised crime and drug trafficing. This "Operation Liquid" was according to my knowledge directed to narcotics but narcotics sale usually involves steroids too.

But this profiling things is just absurd. I mean, come on! LOL

In fairness, steroids are illegal in a large number of countries in the world. Therefore for the most part the users of steroids are breaking the law and as such it was only a matter of time before someone decided to target BBers for arrests.

On the one hand steroids being illegal is a stupid and meaningless ruling of law, but on the other hand it is still a law. Either we have a justice system that is obeyed and suitably enforced or we shouldn't bother with any laws. Therefore the law should be addressed - either they admit the law is stupid and repeal it or they get serious about arresting dealers and users. Sweden has clearly chosen the latter course of action. Like it or not laws are rarely overturned without public outcry, which will not come for steroids while even the poster-boys pretend they don't use when it suits them.

i agree it is a law no matter how dumb it is but i dont see how the can profile and force you to take a drug test? I wouldnt think that was legal

I just remembered that I once was forced to leave a urine sample in a gym some years ago when there was a raid around town at a couple of gyms at the same time. I failed the test they did..but it was for unnormal levels of caffeine, I was banned from every gym in the country for 2 weeks while they did their tests.

I did however get a formal apology after those two weeks.
