There will be another five months of contest prep ahead of them, but seven of the competitors vying for the 2015 Mr. Olympia title will be standing on the same stage trying to outdo one another on May 2 at the IFBB Pittsburgh Pro.
It will be in the form of guest posing, of course, and they will be judged by only the lucky fans in attendance and not the panel.
And it's not just seven random bodybuilders, either. These men are the top dogs in the race for the Sandow come September:
*PHIL HEATH
*KAI GREENE
*SHAWN RHODEN
*DENNIS WOLF
*DEXTER JACKSON
*MAMDOUH "BIG RAMY" ELSSBIAY
*BRANCH WARREN
Heath is looking to make it five in a row and Greene has been his runner-up for the last three. It will be interesting to see how each of these two goliaths size one another up and if there are any deficiencies in their physiques once both are seen.
It always seems as if Rhoden is stuck in either third or fourth place behind larger physiques, but "Flexatron" brings the aesthetic look that the fans seem to prefer and can easily jump up a spot. It will be difficult to unseat Heath - and the same goes for Greene - unless the reigning champ comes in out of condition.
As far as Wolf goes, he needs to rebound from his fourth place finish a year ago, one that is even worse when most people consider him the true runner-up in 2012. (He eventually placed third.)
By winning another Arnold Classic, Jackson also put himself right into the conversation for the Olympia, especially considering that he won the show in 2008. Big Ramy needs to have a better showing than seventh and it will be interesting to see his progress. Warren placed sixth at the O last year and the fan favorite will try to repeat that performance.
