So I went to Blockbuster tonight and ended up buying The Three Burials of Meliquades Estrada, A History of Violence, and Charade...dammit, when I have money and go to a movie story I can't help myself

liberation trough self brutalization, real men don't fear pain and thus can't be controlled.

Same as the last one - the law of diminishing returns in full swing.

I want to watch a real scary movie, pain had talked about american horror movies were lame and all the same, I have to agree. I would like to get some opinions on some real scary movies, and I don't want the usual poltergeist, exorcist, or chainsaw massacre. Thanks

Japanese horrors are by far the best horror films around. I suggest:

    The Ring (original Jap)
    The Grudge (original Jap)
    A Tale of Two Sisters
    Phone

Quality if you don't mind subtitles. They will freak you out a lot more than any Hollywood horror ever will.

Anyone see Accepted yet? I'm considering it. There doesn't seem to be anything that great out now that isn't R rated (my parents, of course).

Just watched a trailer for Tony Jaa (Ong Bak) new film "The Protector" looks pretty good for an action film. He sure is one handy little bastard that's for sure.

Watching Final Destination 3 tonight. If I understand it correctly it is one of the finest films of our generation with an original concept, flawless acting and a script to die for. Should be good.
