Hey guys, a quick question. A friend of mine talked to me into doing boxing two or three times a week. He warned me that it is very high cardio, and that it will take alot out of me. My concern is this; i dont want to lose much muscle, or any muscle at all. Do you guys think an hour, or more than an hour of boxing lessons will be a big problem in losing muscle mass? The main reason i want to do this, is to burn fat. Also, do you guys suggest i take any supplements while going through this? BCAA's, Xtend, etc.......Similar Bodybuilding Threads: Is Boxing Becoming a Parody Of Itself? Boxing can be very demanding cardio wise. but there is no reason why you shouldn't do it, if you adjust your diet , and by that I mean replace the calories you will burn in the form of good carbs and protein you won't loose your muscle mass.

boxing is an excellent form of cardio, but like natzo said, it's important to not overdo it if you dont want to loose muscle mass. boxing works great as HIIT, you can burn a ****load of cals in a short amount of time, so it's very effective.
