I live in a Catholic country where Holy Week is observed nationwide. In fact, some offices are closed for the whole week and the government has declared Thursday until Sunday a 4-day holiday. My question is for those with heavy workout sessions. Since it is the week for abstinence, some of my friends couldn’t answer if they would momentarily stop their workout in deference to the religious holiday. But stopping for a week has a big effect on the muscle build up. My advice is for them to continue and just skip on delicious food (abstaining from good food is part of the abstinence).
