Canelo in legal battle with Golden Boy and DAZN

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has been out of the ring since November 2019 after he defeated Sergey Kovalev for the WBO title. He was supposed to fight in May but the fight was postponed due to coronavirus.

Arrangements were made for him to return to the ring last month, but weeks before the fight news came out that he was having issues with his promoter, Golden Boy. Also, there is some bad blood between Canelo and the streaming network DAZN. He has sued both Golden Boy and DAZN for breach of contract.
