The 2025 Arnold Classic Australia will be held on April 12 at One Strength Bathurst. The event will include the Arnold Classic Euro Qualifier, where the top two athletes selected by WRPF Spain will receive free return flights to the event.
The Arnold Classic is a fitness and sports expo that features bodybuilding, strongman, and other events. The event was originally a bodybuilding contest only, but has since expanded to include other sports. The Arnold Strongman Classic was introduced in 2002 to select the strongest strongman based on brute strength tests.
Australian bodybuilding is set to take the spotlight as 52 men and women gear up for next year’s Arnold Classic Australia. These athletes recently qualified during a competitive event held at the Belmont Yacht Club in Newcastle.
The Arnold Classic, a prestigious global bodybuilding tournament founded by the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, will debut in Australia, bringing a new level of recognition to the sport Down Under. Schwarzenegger himself will attend the event, promoting bodybuilding and fitness across the nation.
Paul Graham, a former bodybuilding champion and now an administrator, played a pivotal role in bringing the event to Australia. Graham, who shares a decades-long friendship with Schwarzenegger, reminisced about mentoring the star during his early days in the US in 1968.
“I was introduced to Arnold, we became training partners, and I supported him throughout his career,” Graham shared. As vice president of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB), he has collaborated with Schwarzenegger for years to make this Australian edition a reality.
With over 1000 Australian competitors expected to participate, the event, scheduled for March in Melbourne, promises to be a landmark moment for bodybuilding in Australia. Fans and athletes alike are excited to celebrate the sport alongside one of its most iconic figures.
