Brendan kicks off episode two of his Offseason Series by announcing the winner of the £250 Train by JP voucher giveaway — congratulations to David Plesi! He then dives into a transparent review of his recent bloodwork, just seven to eight weeks post-show and nearing the end of his health phase.
Most markers are in a solid place considering the extreme prep he just came off. Hemoglobin and hematocrit are slightly elevated, so he’s donating 500ml of blood to bring levels back into range. White blood cells, clotting, kidney function, proteins, and thyroid all look great. ALT liver enzymes are higher than usual but expected, with plans to retest soon. HDL cholesterol is still a bit low but improving, while LDL and total cholesterol are fine. Inflammation markers are low, insulin sensitivity is excellent, and testosterone is at a high-normal healthy level for this phase.
Training this week focused on back, with a priority on fixing imbalances — notably a smaller right leg and slightly underdeveloped right side overall. Brendan’s added more single-limb work to even things out. Strength has dipped slightly as the health phase wraps up, but he’s confident in holding most of his progress before ramping into the true offseason push.
He also revealed he’s beta testing a new training, nutrition, and health app, which will be launched after final tweaks. The episode wraps with a quick posing check-in — Brendan admits he’s eager to start growing again and expects to recomp slightly before food increases. The next episode will mark the official start of his offseason.
