I know some people in the body building world might think yoga is not appropriate for men but there's certain postures such as plank that are very beneficial in developing core strength.

There's 3 ways to do this pushups wide shoulder with and close width

Plank posture which is just like pushup in wide shoulder width and close

The third technique is do a push up hold the rep up for 5 to ten seconds then continue with the next rep

Planks are underrated for core stability. Even simple variations like wide, shoulder-width, close-width holds, or pausing at the top of a pushup for 5–10 seconds can make bodyweight work feel a lot more challenging and effective.
