if I had to take a guess I would say that an embolus caused he's death, thrombocytes are so sneaky and there are never any symptoms, plus a whole lot of posing which we all know is a lot of contractions of the muscles stimulate the heart to pump quicker which then can break loose a thrombocyte, but then again you really can't make the right diagnose without an autopsy.
