Afghanistan is ceded to the Taliban

After 20 years of fighting the government, the rebel group called Taliban has taken over the reins of the government when the US forces decided to withdraw their troops. The exodus of US soldiers is agreed until August 31 only. US President Joe Biden said that the Afghan government and armed forces are reluctant to defend their country against the Taliban so it is like the US is the only one doing the defending. Many Afghans are rushing to the airport to leave their country.

The promised pullout of all US troops from Afghanistan is nearing completion by the end of August. Although it looks peaceful in Afghanistan but the people are still agitated and there is the lingering desire to leave the country for fear of the abuses of the Taliban forces. Unfortunately for the Afghans there is no more aid from the US and other countries. They have to endure the situation.
