Aggression in the arena earns points

In the UFC, the fight announcer would time and again mention that aggression earns points. It’s truly boring when both fighters don’t attack as if they are both afraid to be hit. They are like dancers and not fighters. An aggressive fighter gives the fight color and excitement even if there are not much hitting, the audience is somewhat entertained. Maybe they should add more points to an aggressive fighter so in case of a decision, he would have an edge over his passive opponent.
