Alicia Ashley – oldest female boxer

A Jamaican-American, Alicia Ashley was a former WBC bantamweight champion in the female boxing category. Her record stands at 23 wins and 10 losses. But the numbers don’t tell it all. Ashley defeated Christina McMahon to claim the WBC super bantamweight title at age 48 in 2015. This year of 2017, her last fight was a win over Liliana Martinez at age 49. She was declared by Guinness Book of World Record as the Oldest Female Boxer.

Well that is certainly impressive to being doing it at that high of a level at that age. Athletes have come a long way in their ability to age better but things like this are still pretty shocking to see when they happen.
