An epic war movie - A bridge too far

This is a movie about the folly of the allied forces. The title is about the bridge in the Netherlands that connected it to Germany. Joint forces of US and British military were out to conquer Germany but things happened not in the way they had expected it. The suspenseful battle was shown realistically. The heavy cast is led by Sean Connery, Robert Redford and Michael Caine. Shown in theaters in 1977, A Bridge Too Far is a hit in the box office.
