Best war scene in a movie?

What are some of the best war scenes in a movie? Doesn't have to be a ww2 movie or a Vietnam movie, any movie with a scene from a war will do.

The war scene at the end Children of Men is probably my favorite war scene from any movie. It was done so well.

I agree with the first war scene of SPR. I also agree with Pain that the end scene was awesome also.

It wasn't as intense but I enjoyed the build up to the last fight and the way it was set up.

-Pretty much every single battle in that movie (especially against the starting one, the one against the tanks and holding the bridge).

-Starting battle, and all the gladiator fights.

Troy doesn't have a best scene, as none transcend mediocrity. In regard to the actual question, "What is the best war scene in a movie?" I'll have to think about it.

the beginning of private ryan as well as the end. i agree with pain in liking the last battle scene due to the build up and anticipation. i also really really liked the scenes with the sniper leading up to his final moments.
