It’s been a while, and I genuinely hoped Kgear would eventually make things right. After making several attempts to get answers, I’ve come to the conclusion that the company was willing to use its members as “sponsors” when it benefited them, but wasn’t willing to stand behind those same people when things went wrong.
Sponsors were expected to promote the brand, purchase their products, and put time and effort into representing the company, with the understanding that more products and support would be provided in return. We held up our end of that agreement.
There have also been multiple occasions where prices appeared to be increased before a holiday, followed by a “sale” price being advertised. That kind of practice raises legitimate concerns about transparency.
What bothers me most, however, is the complete lack of communication. Kgear had the contact information for its sponsors but made no effort to provide an update when the platform went down. I had to reach out multiple times just to find out what happened, and it took weeks to receive a response.
Being told that “we appreciate all the work you’ve done” means very little if the company isn’t willing to actually stand behind the people who represented its brand.
If this is how a company treats the people who promote and support it, it makes me question how other customers and members are being treated as well.
I simply believe companies should be transparent, communicate with their community, and stand behind the people who put their time, money, and reputation into representing them. No action or compensation has been offered to the many sponsors who spent a lot of time promoting. Do better
